NYSAA Hall of Fame The
purpose of this organization is to honor and perpetuate the name of those
people who have contributed to the growth and welfare of ARCHERY by their
distinguishing service to or outstanding performance in the New York State
Archery Association. Established
in 1976 with the induction of Lura Wilson in both the performance and service
categories, it has recognized many outstanding individuals for their
achievements. The Hall
of Fame seeks individuals worthy of induction into the Hall of Fame in the
categories:
1. Distinguished Service
(Living or Deceased)
2. Outstanding Target
Archery Performance (Living or Deceased) CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONSA
candidate must have either demonstrated extraordinary service, devotion, ideas
or ideals over the years or have an outstanding target archery record.
His or Her contribution must be above and beyond the ordinary to the
sport of archery. All
candidates must have been members of the New York State Archery Association,
or have been identified with target archery for a period of fifteen (15)
years. NOMINATIONS When
submitting a name to be considered by the committee for nomination, a write-up
of the person’s worthiness must be included so that the committee can make
informed decisions. If you
